    With all due …
With all due respect, i disagree that I demonstrated any level of arrogance. I have agreed with the raw food philosophy when the evidence was brought up. I am an objective researcher meaning I don’t bring my subjective opinions while researching something. The research has to be unbiased and scientific. And then there is good science and bad. Bad science is when we start comparing apples to oranges. Something like Chimps to humans. I was just pointing out something that I didn’t agree with.

    Lastly , i forgot …
Lastly , i forgot to add Huge Level of Arrogance.

ok thats all , im out, have a nice day : )

  3. ACEBAKER911 says:

    Nah ill let them …
Nah ill let them stand because my chimpanzee comment is still accurate.

Instead, ill let your own massive ego and pride speak for itself.

    have fun ! lol ; )

  4. screenflicker1 says:

why dont u go ahead …
why dont u go ahead and delete those comments now to save urself embarrasment

  5. ACEBAKER911 says:

    sorry didnt read …
sorry didnt read this earlier comment of yours , My Mistake.

  6. ACEBAKER911 says:

    After saying that, …
After saying that, let me also add, Just curious , why arent you on Omnivore Vids commenting if thats what you Advocate ?

You are certainly entitled to your own Biased subjective Opinion , but since you have stated you obviously disagree with and dont approve of the Raw Vegan diet

Than thats cool, so why are you here ? Meaning other than to just provoke and start Never ending debates and arguments

    it will accomplish Nothing

  7. ACEBAKER911 says:

    You are lost in …
You are lost in your own thoughts and you are obviously on here with a Huge ego and Agenda to prove your own personal contention accurate, that a Raw Vegan diet is Not healthy nor Biologically normal for Humans,

i could refute you all day long and show you where you are wrong, but out of respect for Dan and his vids, im not about to Inflict everyone Here with a ‘flame war’ Between us simply because you are Against the raw Vegan diet.

  8. screenflicker1 says:

I see what you mean …
I see what you mean. I didn’t miss your point earlier. What we’re talking about is muscle density of a chimp compared to muscle density of a human. A chimp can carry more strength in less amount of muscle because of the type of tissue it has which is different than a human’s. Therefore, they’re not comparable. A proper comparison would be what Milokito is saying, comparing muscle that of two human beings (one on raw food vs. one on standard muscle food, which equal amount of muscular activity).

  9. ebutuoy88 says:

    Why don’t you eat …
    Why don’t you eat roots?

  10. ebutuoy88 says:

    So what about if …
So what about if humans follow a raw omnivore but still a chimp diet?

  11. ACEBAKER911 says:

    You completely …
You completely missed the entire context of what i was explaining, it had nothing to do with any dietary specifics of Food,

Rather it was on the subject of the Relation of Muscle size to Strength.

    But thanks anyway ! lol

  12. screenflicker1 says:

    I agree with the …
I agree with the conclusion but not with the argument. You are comparing apples and oranges. Although Chimpanzee are humans nearest link in evolutionary chain, they’re not the closest in the way of our body functioning. That is why rats are chosen for experiments rather than chimps. Also remember, when you try to compare the humans and chimps, you’ll have to consider humans as omnivores because chimps are omnivores too. That will destroy the premise of a raw vegan diet.

  13. screenflicker1 says:

It looks like to me …
It looks like to me that there is no single formula for nutrition and not one single way of life will fit everybody. However, one solid conclusion that I have come to so far in my research is that humans don’t necessarily need meat for their optimal health and strength, muscle mass and longevity can be acheived based on vegan, raw vegan, vegetarian diets. We do not necessarily need dairy, meat or eggs to be optimally healthy.

  14. screenflicker1 says:

    Although we eat …
Although we eat cooked food, nobody in my family is obese. As a matter of fact you will never find an obese person in jain families. However, my sample size of few people doesn’t amount to solid conclusions and that is why I am constantly reading the field of nutrition and listening to experts. Dan being one of them. I should further agree with you that strength matters more than volume. My counter argument though is, I have seen equally fit and strong omnivores, people on protein powders etc.

  15. screenflicker1 says:

    Milokito,
    Thanks …

    Milokito,
Thanks for replying back. I did check out that channel, (rawveganbodybuilder). I must say I am pretty impressed. To give you a little background, I have been a vegetarian all my life and have never tasted meat. I consume very little dairy and negligible eggs. my grandmother is 93 years old and her sister 105. My family is ‘jain’ (followers of Jainism) meaning we don’t eat meat, are completely vegetarians and we don’t even eat anything that grows under the ground. So no roots.

  16. milokito says:

    eek, you almost got …
eek, you almost got me scared there for a sec, until I realized I have Dan to protect me. lol

  17. ACEBAKER911 says:

    Also consider a …
Also consider a full grown Male Mountain Gorilla, they get up to around 400 or 500 lbs.

Can you imagine if you placed 5 Huge Human Body builders at 300 lbs each in a cage with 1 Mountain Gorilla.

i would guarantee you only 1 would walk out of that cage alive, and that would be the Gorilla and there wouldnt be a mark on him , hed tear those guys to shreds !

If size were the only indicator of Power, 5 huge bodybuilders should win that contest, but we all know itd be opposite

  18. ACEBAKER911 says:

yea i agree with ya …
yea i agree with ya, Remember a chimpanzee is a very Lean skinny animal, yet it has the strength to rip a car door right off the hinges !

Throw in a 270 lb Thick muscled Bodybuilder in a Ring with a wild chimpanzee and it would be ugly.

That ‘ skinny ‘ Chimpanzee would rip the Bodybuilders arms right out of his sockets ! Size is not always an accurate measure of Power, what is more important to ask is What is the QUALITY of the muscle tissue ?

    Raw builds excellent quality

  19. milokito says:

    I also just wanted …
I also just wanted to add the caveat that Dan himself says he is in a ‘skinny detox phase’ right now…he just started weight training again and will be adding at least 10 pounds of muscle as we get deeper into the fall…(I need to confirm that number with him, but he’s on the phone right now…so if it is off, I’ll let you know!)

Have you seen the rawveganbodybuilder channel, btw? good stuff!

  20. milokito says:

    ok, cool…I hear …
    ok, cool…I hear ya…but…

Is it a valid assumption that a greater ‘amount’ of muscle means greater strength?

Bodybuilding isn’t so much about strength, as it is about bodyBUILDING.

Back in the day when Dan was a bodybuilder, he was a lot bigger…but guess what, today he is STRONGER. How can that be??

Ballet dancers are *incredibly* strong, yet are incredibly lean…

So what is the point of adding on beefy muscle just for the sake of show? Why not shoot for strong & efficient?

  21. narayanr says:

    You build those rib …
You build those rib cages, dude.

    You go, Man!

Rock Out with yer RIBS out (LOL)!

    Just playing.

  22. screenflicker1 says:

    Looks like you took …
Looks like you took that comment personally. I never claimed I had muscles to show! I just said I wish he had some muscle, meaning more muscle than what he has. Comparing his body to that of a protein eating athlete, he obviously has less “amount’ of muscle. If he had more, he would sound more promising about the raw food diet he promotes.

  23. richardmoores says:

    No no it’s not …
No no it’s not possible!!! You can’t possibly have that much strength and energy on a raw food diet!! It’s not scientificlly possible!!!!!!!! You must eat plenty of dairy and meat!!!!! This cant be!!

  24. milokito says:

    please show us your …
please show us your body….so that we can all learn about what muscle actually looks like. would you make a vid for us please? and i’m being serious.

  25. SGorilla24 says:

    Yoooo!!!!! What up …
Yoooo!!!!! What up dan, so that is how you keep your body in shape or is it the raw foods, which one is more important lol? Good job Love and Peace!!!
