    Please take notice that this documentary was made in 1992. In comparison to modern medicine, half of the documentary is pure conjecture. The majority of India’s diet is vegetarian. However, their rate of heart disease and cancer is no different from North America. Reducing the amount of fossil fuels in our daily air would definitely have an effect on cancer. We have learned so much more about general health since this video was made.

    I stopped drinking milk after I read “Fit for Life” Part II, by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond. I’m too scared now to drink that stuff –especially after reading that, in one study, a group of calves that were allowed to drink processed milk (which we drink) all died!

    I dunno, I like milk alot (I’ve been known to down 2 gallons in a matter of 3-5 days) and I’m not quite sure of any damage I might be doing, at least long term. I do know that I am 21 years old and have never broken or fractured anything ;) Maybe its just luck but I’d like to think the calcium has something to do with it haha.

    Well, many of my female relatives suffer from ostheoporosis and they all eat lots of fresh vegies and fruit, little dairy and meat products. So? Sometimes it’s just genetic. Actually, my aunt’s doc advised her to eat more dairy products!

    Great video – the only thing I would add is that in Africa indigenous tribes also ingest milk and blood from their cattle…they aren’t totally veggie…
    It would be hard to find a sample of a totally vegetarian population…
