With all the claims made today about the best ways to lose weight, how can you know what weight loss programs are truly effective? The answer is, you really can’t know for sure until you try it for yourself. However, you can take steps to better understand a program and make an educated guess regarding its legitimacy. Don’t just take words like “clinically proven” and “guaranteed” at face value. Instead, dig a little deeper and see if these claims can be substantiated.

Many weight loss programs claim to be the the best weight loss, fastest, and most effective. However, most of these assertions have not been independently proven. So, how can you know for sure who to trust? First, check a company’s policy regarding their product. Do they offer a money-back guarantee that it will work? If so, chances are they have some proof to back up their methods. After all, what companies do not want to keep handing out refunds from unsatisfied customers? Another good way to check is to find information on how a program was researched. Did medical professionals participate in testing? How many subjects were used in clinical trials? These are questions you should try to answer before deciding if a particular program is effective. Finally, see if any publications about the diet have hit the best seller list. Odds are if people are buying it, the program is working for someone.

All in all, it is impossible for one weight loss diet to be the best for everyone. However, there are some that are useful for a marjority of people, and one that will be optimal for you. Don’t be trapped by scams or waste money on ineffective products. Instead, find the best weight loss diet you can trust and stick with it. Remember, nothing can be “the best” unless you put in the effort. So, before you start, make a promise to yourself to finish your weight loss regimen. Once you’ve let it run its course, then you can decide if the results you achieved as the best or barely mediocre.

    just drink milk.when ur hungry a glass of milk will make u feel like ur full and u l be losing weight like that and only eat a little every time foods that dont make u gain weight such as subway. and try to work out and u l loseweight in nooo time.

    I’ve tried the South Beach Diet and it did Wonders for me!
    I lost 35 pounds, never felt hungry. The first 2 days are hard because I wans’t used to not eating any bread, sugar, etc. I felt somewhat tired witha slight headache, but it all went by really fast, the cravings went away really fast too :-)

    eat healthy balanced diet with no fried fatty or restaurant food and cut out regular pop and drink lots of watter. if you already eat healthy food eat less of it.

    Losing weight is a simple math equation. Eat fewer calories than you burn. If you do this consistently you will lose weight.

    with me i broke my jaw a month ago and lost 25 pounds in the 1st 2 weeks but i gained some of it back. well eat liquid foods thats wat i did and im still doing

    best? quick? really works?

    raw food diet!

    no cooking = best (keeps all vitamins)

    no cooking = quick

    impossible to overeat = really works (you have to really chew food before you swallow it because its raw)

    this will prob get thumbed down

    but its the best answer to your specific question

    I like telling this one to people because it’s the only thing that’s ever really worked for me..Eat as healthy as possible & although fruits really good for you – on occasion, we need variety. Eat lots of fruit with varieties (ex: melon & walnuts, watermelon & lemon, strawberries w/ whipped topping, apples & pb, etc. etc.) exercise and wrap your problem areas in saran wrap. The fat will melt off.. Have scissors handy to cut it off afterwards because its gross and sticky. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water. Good luck.

    Let me start by saying that I used to be overweight. I tried lots of diets, and none of them worked. What finally helped me lose 50 pounds were 3 simple things.
    1. Replacing all the liquids that I drank during the day with water
    2. Forcing myself to be more active.
    3. Making good food choices.
    -Cut bad fats out of your diet, (keep olive oil!!)
    -Make sure you have fruits/vegetables every day
    -Have set times when you eat everyday
    -Don’t eat snacks out of the container/bag. Its too easy to overeat that way

    It takes time to train yourself to make all these changes all at once. Its better to choose one, and once you are used to it, adding the next one.

    Losing weight will seem like it takes forever, but if you improve your eating, and get a lot of exercise you will feel and look better!!

    Yes, they worked, I lost a lot of weight, but when I started eating normal again, I gained double the weight and now it is hard for me to lose weight because my metabolism got messed up… I finally gave up, and decided that there is NO miracle diet that will make you lose weight without gaining it back. . . The only way to lose weight is hard.First of all, eat REAL foods;what I mean is that you shouldnt eat cereals(not even special k), fast foods, or boxed foods….In the morning you should eat a slice of wheat bread and a boiled egg…For snack eat fruits and vegetables, and for dinner eat whatever you usually eat, but try a smaller portion….eat slowly, drink water….and excersice, and don’t eat anything but fruits after dinner… . . . It is hard, (especially excersice) but thats the only way.

    I found that cutting out all the process sugar really helped. If you limit the process sugar you ingest then your body has to get it else where, such as fruits and vegatables and in order to do that your body has to process those foods futher which causes you to burn more calories.

    Another trick is to eat slowly. It takes your brain 20 minutes to receive the signal from your stomach to tell it it’s full, so take your time.

    What ever you do don’t start eating less then 3 times a day. You’re body will go in to starve and save mode. You’re meltabolism with start to slow down and you don’t want that. Eating less will help you lose a few pounds quickly, but in the long run it will ruin your muscles and organs. Your body needs calories to function, take those away and your body will burn what ever it can, including your muscles and organs to get it.

    And "ST" is wrong in her equation. It should be "burn more calories than you eat." If you consumed 3000 calories that day than you need to burn at least that not to gain any weight. And remember working out jumps starts the metabolism, so even if you only burn 500 to 1000 at the gym that day your body will still continue to burn calories all day long now that you’ve given your metabolism a boost.

    Cut out all sodas and junk food!!!!!! Get powered slim fast (not canned) have it in the morning with some fruit or yogurt. Have it again for lunch but with a lean meal like chicken breast and veggies. You can also eat cereal that has A LOT of protein such as the Kashi brand that will give you 13g of protein a serving and it will make you full. Allow yourself ONE free day a week to eat whatever you want so long as you eat HEALTHY for 6 days straight…no cheating! Do not starve yourself either. Watch your sugar, fat, calories, and sodium intake. 12g of sugar is too much, 9g of fat for a meal is too much, 400g+ of sodium is too much, calories and carbs have to balanced out.

    This might not be true to some people, but I stuck with this diet for a month straight and i went from 145lbs to 132lbs and i hardly ever exercised even though it is recommended.

    You have to really be strict on yourself. Lean Cruisine and Healthy Choice frozen foods are bogus, high in sodium and a lot of fat if you’re trying to loose weight quickly.

    I also take Pure Acai pills (brand is sambazon), you can pick this up at vitamin world. Its an antioxidant and one the worlds known and best superfood. It has 30x more antixodants that blueberries. Its a dietary supplement. Boosts energy and immune system, and really promotes healthy skin.

    NOTE: Don’t get caught up in trying the Atkins diet or the South Beach diet because you’ll kill yourself trying to follow all the rules of it and everything else. Just basically cut out junk and soda, lower your sugar intake and all the above mentioned. If you get hungry eat veggies or fruit or boiled egg but not the yolk just the whites.
